Howdy folks.

Happy Fathers’ Day to all the Dads out there. I hope you got your deserved pampering.
It’s the lull before the storm…a quiet week coming up.

Bowling Shirts: We need some new Alexandra Bowling Club shirts. If you are likely to need one this year let me know and I’ll make a bulk order. Likely to cost $60 each. So far I only have requests for two.
Darts: Congrats to Dave Reinds and Blair Harris who won last week’s drawn pairs darts championship against Eric McAuslan and Murray McCutcheon, in a tense final that went right down to the wire. A great evening of darts.
Volunteers: A sheet will be going up on the Lounge whiteboard MONDAY. This season we will need people to run the Monday Evening social, Fulton Hogan Thursdays, Ladies’ Saturday morning league, and others as they arise. Jobs will range from admin, to coaching, to bbq cooking. Plus, there will be a list of jobs that need doing before opening day, as a general tidy up. As always, this place doesn’t exist without your help so get in quick and pick the best jobs.
Heroes of the Week: The Club extends big thanks to: Barry H for building a step from the bar to the office. Bill C for fixing the broken door and window locks. Mike, runner at Housie. Raelene and Tina for helping behind the bar. Brian and Esther for cooking for the Fulton Hogan meeting. Nev and Barb for cooking Friday’s food. The darts section who all assisted in moving the pool tables on Tuesday. And everyone else who lent a hand. Thanks all!
If you are going to Nationals in Christchurch in January I have received a flyer from College House regarding accommodation. It is rather large so I will print and put on the board, but shout if you want the 3.1MB file emailed to you.
